Back in the summer of 2013, I had the honor of photographing this intimate and heartfelt wedding ceremony between Shannon and Seema at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles. Little did I know at that time that it would spread around the world with the speed that only true love stories can. This viral lesbian Indian wedding not only captured widespread attention but also highlighted the significant importance of queer representation in society, particularly in the context of relationships during a period that preceded the historic passing of marriage equality in June 2015.
